Booted by Blip
I just logged into my blip.tv account, where Holding the Sticks is hosted, only to find out that they've changed their terms of service and my show no longer fits in with their business model. My account there is cancelled as of today (although it appears they have allowed me to upload a short episode to explain today). Those of you who watch the show here or on YouTube won't notice the change at all. However, if any of you have subscribed through iTunes or Downcast, the show will no longer be updated there.
After the first of the year when the budget will (hopefully) allow, I will look into other iTunes compatible hosting for the show. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hockey101:
Minor Penalties continued. These are the goalie penalties:

vicinity of his crease during a fight. If the fight is near his
crease, the referee will direct him to a neutral place to wait.
b. Goalie can't go to the bench during stopages in play with-
out referee's permission unless it's a time out.
2. Participating in the Play over the Center Red Line - A goalie
can't play the puck or check another player on the wrong
side of the center red line.
3. Restricted Area - Goalie can't play the puck behind the
goal line outside of the "trapezoid."

Update
Hi all! I just wanted to pop in here to apologize for not recording the last couple of weeks. Life has been getting in the way. I had every intention of putting an episode up this week but am unexpectedly having to work lots of extra hours doing data entry this week and possibly next. If I can I'll record later this week. If not, I will be back to it as soon as I can.
I have a lot to share with you, especially on the fitness front since I've started working with an experienced runner who hosts a ladies running group early Sunday mornings. I've learned a ton and upped my weekly mileage. It's fun and exciting! And of course, I've made progress on my knitting and spinning projects too. That Miss Babs fiber I was spindle spinning turned out So pretty! :)
Thanks for hanging in there with me! I appreciate all of you who watch.

Hit 2.5 miles this week. Falling short of my 15 min mile on
hilly course, but ran flat yesterday and came in at about
14:40. Why am I so slow??? Thinking of hiring a running
coach to work on my foot strike and stride. But am I really
that serious?
Might buy a treadmill for Winter. Anyone ever used a
manual?
Chatter:
Let's call this the final regular Mom update, shall we? :)
Tests are all in. No sign of cancer! It is gone gone gone!
Treatments continue. Prayers are appreciated, but I think we
are through the worst of it.
Mom's going back to work Sept 1. :)
Trip to Spencer NC Transportation Museum for joint bd
party. We rode the Birthday Caboose!!
Third Period: Hockey Talk (30:46)
Hockey 101:
Goalkeepers' Penalties: Goalies don't serve their own pen-
alties. Their teammates have to do it for them. However, a
goalie can be ruled off the ice if he racks up 3 majors in a
game. He can also be assessed a Game Misconduct.
It's the dog days of summer so there's not much going on.
Hurricanes have been releasing an interesting web series -
Open Ice with Ryan Murphy.
